Beverley Southcott’s series is an ongoing exploration of the urban sublime that can co-exist within our everyday and the urban environment.

Her photographs, taken from the Sydney Tower Observatory level, give the illusion of encapsulated and microscopic worlds floating in space. The surveillance of life on the street far below places us as the viewers in the place of the voyeur or explorer of a beautiful and alien, yet familiar environment.
