27 September - 25 October: 'Origami Amalgamation' by Lyndal Petzke (QLD)

Lyndal Petzke's series examines origami and the hat as a metaphor for the blending of Eastern and Western culture.

Category: Exhibitions

Early Eastern and Western origami forms are used to explore the conflict and acceptance that exists between two very diverse cultures. By combining the hat with origami forms its original meaning is shifted. The boundaries between sculpture and photography are challenged by digitally creating sculpture using multiple photographs.
