23 August - 20 September: 'Hush Now, Louisiana' by Deb Mansfield (QLD/NSW)
Deb Mansfield’s ongoing relationship between the domestic and the littoral is displayed in Hush Now, Louisiana a series of photographs taken in 2007 whilst on a travel scholarship to the swamps and bayous of Louisiana.

Mansfield has brought the outside in, in a series that combines both photography and tapestry. The series includes large overwhelming prints of Louisianan vegetation, contrasted by photographic tapestries of topsy-turvy scenes. The ambitious use of materials must be seen in the flesh to appreciate the elements of craft and photography coming together in such harmony.
