Mark Kimber’s Edgeland is a series of industrial landscapes photographed at night. These late night photographs are devoid of human life, altering the meaning of structures in the landscape. What is striking about the series is Kimber’s use of the medium to produce strong vivid colours that generate the appearance of theatrical backdrops. Kimber transforms what is in daylight an ordinary building, to a series of graphic individual forms.
