I am interested in documentary photography’s ability to critique and provide social comment, rather than simply provide visual information. I hope to stir a sense criticism in the viewer, in this case by isolating and highlighting just a handful of the absurdities inherent in the social spaces we have constructed and inhabit. It’s not about telling people something they don’t already know, it’s about encouraging the viewer to think critically about the world in which we live and hopefully, in some small way, contributing to our understanding of the human condition.
