Artist statement

Creating 'Subliminal Morphosis' became a form of photo therapy. Expressing my thoughts and feelings through photo media has helped to reveal repressed memories. Experiments with film employ a process of destruction. It is through the remediation with digital technology that dying and damaged materials have been utilised to reconstruct new images referencing the body.As a consequence of these actions repressed thoughts and memories emerge as if slipping through subliminal morphosis, emphasising psychological boundaries.
